This dramatic painting became the cover image for the visually groundbreaking CD ROM game created by Interplay Productions Of Light and Darkness (1998) for which Gil created the entirety of the 3D environments, characters and lighting which was unprecedented at the time as normally it requires an entire team of artists. His computer imagery, as never before seen, was revolutionary within the industry. It received rave reviews and garnered immense attention from the computer gaming industry at large. The Artist allowed Interplay some artistic license to pump up the colors and to reverse the direction of the image for the cover of the game. This acclaimed painting also inspired a bronze sculpture by the same name and a limited edition print is available as well.
